The Dandenong Cricket Club is seeking an assistant coach to foster the development of players within our men’s programme competing in Premier Cricket.
The successful applicant will be an integral part of our coaching structure as we seek to develop players toward first eleven, Pathways opportunities and State and Australian representation.
We are seeking;
· A person with a strong desire to lead and support players to maximise their potential
· A person who is able to assist the implementation of successful coaching programmes
· A person with strong inter person and communication skills
· A person with experience in a high performance environment
· A person with at least a Level 2 coaching certificate or a willingness to obtain it with assistance.
· A current working with children card or willingness to obtain it
· A person who has the ability and desire to impart their knowledge of technical and in play strategies.
In your role:
· You will be responsible for the implementation of a coaching program designed to educate and enhance the playing skills through the playing group.
· You will lead a team off or on, on a playing day as well as training twice a week in season and in preseason.
· You will employ your strong communication skills to fully inform players, other coaches and the program manager of progress, feedback and work required
· You will assist with recruitment of new players, the development of players within various academies and the promotion of cricket and Dandenong Cricket Club generally.
· You will actively encourage and participate in coach development opportunities provided by Cricket Victoria and others.
Remuneration is negotiable but applicants should specify their expectations.
